Influenciado por el anime japonés, el estilo gráfico de los años 50 y las películas de ciencia ficción, a la edad de 13 años Smithe comienza a pintar graffiti, sólo por diversión y como un hobby. Autodidacta y evolutivo, atraído por las bellas artes, Smithe ha reinventado constantemente su propio estilo y en los últimos años ha tratado con muchos temas en su trabajo tales como el existencialismo, la individualidad del ser humano y la máquina en su interior. La desfragmentación, símbolo recurrente en su trabajo, se utiliza como un vehículo para mostrar los elementos dentro de ese poder a sus personajes y se muestra como una máquina surrealista. Smithe es reconocido por su graffiti, pero también está implicado en otras áreas como la ilustración, el diseño, la escultura y la música.

Influenced by Japanese anime, the graphic style of the ’50s, and science fiction movies, Smithe entered the graffiti world at 13 years old. Smithe has continuously reinvented his style, and in the last years has represented various concepts such as existentialism, the individuality of the being, and the being as a machine. Fragmentation is also a constant symbol in his work, used to represent the power of his characters and to emphasize the surreal atmosphere. Smithe is recognized due to his graffiti, but he also works with other disciplines such as illustration, graphic design, sculpture and music.
